Advertisements:Task One

Different forms of Advertising
There are different forms that advertising can take such as

Realist Narrative - a realist narrative advert is an advert that focuses on the thoughts on the society also the concerns, this includes real life problems that comes with this advert and encourages an audience to buy the product. For example this fairy liquid advertisement. the positives in it is that it can interest the audience wanting to buy the product but negatives is that people won't really remember this advert.

Anti-Realist narrative is known to be over exaggerated. These adverts would have things that are imaginable, it would have things like unicorns or zombies, stuff that does not exist. Anti-realist is a good interpretation of showing adverts because it can be over the top like the rubberduckzilla advert by oasis. The disadvantages of Anti-realist adverts are that some people may not understand this advert.

Animation
This can be an interesting way of advertising because it can attract a younger audience since that they have seen a cartoon before. An example for this can be Red Bull.

Documentary is one of the best ways of advertising the product because your telling facts about the product also showing how it can be done. The advantage of this is that you may interest the viewer by telling them the scientific part of it. The scientific part of it may make the audience bored of the advert.

Talking Heads is an advertisement that, when a person from the advert talks directly to the audience. For example this California tourism advert. The positives in this advertisement are that it shows the true area of the advert, also has famous celebrities. This will attract big audiences because they might see their favorite celebrity when they arrive at California. The negatives are that maybe to some viewers it won't appeal because it doesn't show everything the viewers need to know

Stand alone advertisements are a one off advert that will never show a series of adverts from the same company. This advertisement is good because it has a catchy song in their head and it could convince them to yell 118 247 and use yellow pages. The thing that gets me is that its animated so it won't be as interesting to adults than a younger audience.

Series of adverts mostly include characters just like the BT advertisements. This advertisement is good because it introduces a new series of the BT infinity. BT welcomes two new students called Joe and Anna into a flat 6 that already has a student that introduces himself and talks about the BT Infinity. This advert is good because it informs the viewers some things about the BT Infinity. The negatives maybe that they don't tell everything you need to know. These type of advertisements are effective because the characters build a bond with the audience.

The Introduction of Advertisements

The Advertisements
To amateur filmmakers, welcome to an introduction of advertising. Advertising is really important because it can really attract television viewers to buy a product and many more stuff. There are different formats of advertising because not all adverts can be the same, some adverts include comedy, some are serious and some don't really relate to what they are really supposed to advertise. The purpose of advertising is to gain attention from the television viewers, also to try make them interested in what they are going to advertise about.  An example of an effective advertising is go compare because, most adverts from a company like Nike have different types of advertisements because they advertise so many sports stars, this can attract so many viewers who are probably fans of those sports stars. But going back to the go compare advert, it can be effective because the man that sings the song repeats it every single different advert, this song can get stuck in the viewers head. This is why its effective.
