Unit 30 AS3 Task 2 Production

Unit 30 AS3 Task 2 Production

Our production was on point and serious about this advertisement, in terms of signing out our equipment, and while shooting everything we were getting the work done. The equipment we signed out to use for the advertisement was the camera and the tripod.

Every time before we would take a shot of a video we would do a run through shot of the scene, also we made sure the lighting was just right for the camera so it can pick up the characters faces. For example while we were shooting a scene in the classroom there would be windows with blinds, and the camera would face the blinds while the scene is going on and if the blinds were not covering the window the characters face would not be scene.

Sound, to make sure the characters were heard properly there was a built in microphone on the camera and it senses sound, while we do our run-throughs we would look at the bar to check if the camera can pick up the sound. When we record the scene we would check it over to see if the sound was good enough, if not then we would do the scene again.

The times where I would instruct the actors and crew members is when we have to tell them they have to do, and if we can't clearly hear what they are saying then we will tell them to speak up. If the actors scenes are great we would shoot the scene again just for safety. The crew members help out to set up the camera angles where the camera is best to shoot the actors.

When we planned to shoot the advert in the streets, our crew would make sure that people would not be in the shot, also we had to worry about cars driving past on the road and obviously, to be cautious with where we walk, also to not somehow trip over the tripod.

Video Editing
Once I got all the footage for the video, I then upload it to final cut express where I edit all of my videos. In this I make sub clips from each scene we shot to make it into one big advertisement. While editing I would add the music, by importing the file. This would fit the advert in the background of while the scenes were going on. While the sequence was going on from scene to scene I would have to use an effect so that the advert can flow nicely which was the fading effect. Once I was done editing the video, I had to then export the whole video file to the correct format so the video would be able to upload onto youtube.

Contingency Plan
Name:  Babajide, Edison, Ronaldo, Theo, Usman

Production: iPhone 5s

Potential problems and how to overcome these problems:

If it was raining with the camera our plan B was that if we cant shoot it outside then we'll go inside and worry about what we need to do and what we can do. If classroom isn't free then we would have a back up room to film or we would just confirm ith the teacher when the classroom is free.

Proposal

Our advertisement consists of certain scenarios a user of the iPhone would find better having the iPhone rather than not having one, this can consist of being lost in the woods and looking at Google maps, playing music or simply making videos… In slow motion. The advertisement is generally aimed towards anyone that would need an iPhone.

Our advertisement will take place in several different locations where we have the permissions to film at. We have the simple props such as the iPhone 5s and the costumes will just be casual.

The advertisement will feature a group of 5, who are students at Robert Clack School. The programme will be produced on a digital format camera and edited using digital technology, The programme budget overall will be £1245.96

Assignment 2:Task Four - Identifying Potential Problems

Task Four - Identifying Potential Problems

In our advertisement we seek for any copyright in terms of music and taking ideas from other projects this is all going to be our own. This advertisement is going to be simple informative, so possibly there will not any risks an hazards in this advertisements. In this advert a potential problem is that false information could be given out about the product. Our idea will contain the iPhone with real information about the iPhone. This advert will be reliable because the audience will know what they are in for in this advert as we give them the real information about this advert, as it won't be a false advertisement with deceptive information. Another potential problem is that risky information could be said, which could make this advert get cut. Lastly, the things we do in the advert, may not be suitable to be put out there for viewers to see.

Assignment 2:Task 3 Research For Production

Requirements for a production

Before we head on to the practical production, we need to find about where we are going to shoot the production by finding out what place would be suitable for this type of advert. This is an example of what needs be planned out so we can head on to complete our production.

Technical Equipment
The equipment that we would need is the iPhone, this is going to be borrowed by our director of the group. To hire a camcorder it would cost £75 a day and a tripod would be needed as well to support the camera. We may need to film for 4 days and the shoots are going to take 1-2 hours.

Potential Filming Locations
The filming location are potentially at McDonalds, to shoot the advertisement we may need to ask the manger for permission to shoot around the fast-food restaurant. To get to McDonalds depending where we are we can take a bus, but it isn't very long of a distance so we can just walk. School, we would need permission from the head teacher and heath park we wouldn't need to ask anyone since its a public place where anyone can play around. If we all had meet at heath park we can take a bus there.

Actors and Actresses
Actors and Actresses that would be needed are male and female actors at the age of 16-17, the way we are going to find our actors and actresses we have a screen test to see if they are suitable and great for the part. Depending how big the advertisement is the actors and actresses will get 30% of the pay-cut. The actors are going to be doing a great job as they will be treated with respect by the production team.

Costumes and Props
For an advertisement like this it doesn't need any fancy dress, this advertisement will include casual wear, and some school wear as well. During productions we will have a suitcase which the clothes will be folded inside in, this way we can go to the places we need with it between the shoots. For the costumes we are going to spend about £60.

Unit 30: Assignment 2; Task 2

Task Two - Ideas Generation

Idea 1

This idea of our advertisement would be a practical advert of different time events, the form of this advert would be a realist narrative advert and the style of this advert would be humour. In this advert idea we wanted to show that what the iPhone could do practically, in the first scene we thought of beginning the advert of is the holder of the iPhone talks to siri and says "siri play music" and from there we start off the advert where it leads on to using the maps app with a person lost, taking pictures at a party, watching videos and ending the advertisement with a incoming call. All ranges of age would be interested in this product as this advert will be a sensible and a fun advert. The sound on this advert would be an instrumental of Tupac changes

Idea 2

The second idea for our advert is a more informative advertisement, the form of this advert is a realist narrative advert. This advertisement is going to just show the iPhone 5s and around the phone its going to tell the audience what it has for example, the phone could show a webpage and a piece of information by the side of the iPhone could say that "wireless internet on the iPhone is faster than any other phones internet". We would do that on every single aspect about the iPhone 5s. The sound we could use is a calm and a relaxing type of music.
